Hey all!
I know...I know. It's been way too long, right? I have great excuses though. I've been getting my life together, y'all. I can't offer advice that I'm not using myself. I also can't create mediocre content for the sake of always having something to post twice a month. That's not fair to my readers or my brand. However, I'm back and I'm better! I give most of the credit to my self-care routine. Being healthy doesn't just mean avoiding the flu, eating kale and going to that one Zumba class. Being healthy means you feel whole mentally, spiritually and physically. Everyday, you should be doing at least ONE thing to nourish your mind, body AND spirit. Here's how I fit it all in my schedule, despite being a writer and grad student: Morning-
Feel free to implement some of my steps into your routine! If you don't believe in religion, or have a religion, then you will have more time to meditate or do another activity in the morning. I strongly suggest meditation to increase mindfulness and process emotions. Also, I've learned that exercising for 30 minutes 4 times a week is NOT an option. Physical activity increases endorphins and reduces stress. It also increases confidence. You'll feel on top of the world knowing you got out of bed and killed your workout! Self-care isn't always soaking in a hot bubble bath or getting your nails done. Tend to yourself from the inside as well. You are beautiful. You are enough. I believe in you.
